Why Your Support Matters
The work that PINA and PPP do is critical for the future of our planet home. By educating youth and empowering communities to adopt permaculture practices, we are contributing strategically to the reversal of climate change through improved food systems and regenerative farming, wildland restoration, and healthy neighborhoods.
We have answers to the burning issues of the age: fire, flood, drought, and storm; migration and economic upheaval, resource depletion, soil loss, and degenerative disease. These answers are needed everywhere and yet too seldom seen, but without proper funding, permaculture’s nature-modeling and holistic design solutions, which could turn around the global crisis, will be too little, too late for many communities.
Your participation in this fundraiser is an investment in a healthy future for all. With your help, we aim to raise $500,000, ensuring that PINA and PPP can continue to lead the way in regenerative agriculture and much else. The funds raised will expand our outreach, improve educational resources, and launch new initiatives to shape a brighter, more resilient future for generations to come.
Event Highlights
We invite you to an occasion that transcends
the ordinary.
On Saturday, October 19th, join us at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame for a Farm-to-Table Luncheon, complemented by locally crafted libations, and be amazed by inspiring stories about permaculture’s impact as told by national experts and local practitioners.
Ready for a thrill to boot?
Bid on our luxury vacation packages: thrill to a South African big game photo safari, or follow in the footsteps of James Bond through the Alps to the casinos of Monaco.
Eight lively and exotic destinations are on offer in Europe, Africa, North America, and the Caribbean.
After the Luncheon, visit any or all of our open-house Eco-Tour sites!
From farms and gardens in Manitou Springs to luxe residential landscapes in Colorado Springs, our hosts can’t wait to introduce you to their permaculture designs.
This FUNdraising event and Auction will benefit Pikes Peak Permaculture (PPP) and the Permaculture Institute of North America (PINA). As the largest governing body for permaculture education and holistic design, PINA and our regional hubs work at the forefront of renewal across the continent, teaching ethical, effective methods to revitalize landscapes and communities.
Among our dozens of projects, we have helped protect fire-prone forests in Oregon and Colorado, reached villagers in the Guatemalan Highlands with films in their native languages, nurtured engineering innovation for shelter on the Alberta Front Range, employed climate activist youth to restore wildlands in BC, and seeded both perennial gardens for school children and neighborhood cooperation in Florida.
A project we brokered in Houston is training urban youth to build careers and livelihoods with permaculture design. In the Springs area we have helped design healthy food systems, bolstered school and community gardens, advised government, and trained hundreds to transform their neighborhoods.
Now, we are asking for your support to expand this essential work.
As the continental governing body for permaculture education and holistic design, PINA and its hubs work at the forefront of renewal, teaching ethical and effective methods to revitalize landscapes and communities. We invite you to partner with us to advance this urgently needed transformation.

“Your attendance is more than a seat at the table; it’s a commitment to the future of regenerative agriculture and holistic design solutions for everyone. With your help, we aim to raise $500,000 to ensure that PINA and our partners like PPP can keep turning problems into solutions as we create a healthier, more resilient world. This is your opportunity to be part of something truly special—an event that nourishes both body and soul.”
“With solid backing, Pikes Peak Permaculture can open doors to the regional community, raise awareness of what we have accomplished, and extend our educational programs. With your support we can build food security within our neighborhoods, make effective shifts away from lawns while building on the succession of trees and native plants through the suburban and rural neighborhoods. Educational programs for children can be expanded to other school districts! Projects will address wildfire safety for the wildlands-to-urban-interface areas, conserve water, and establish improved habitat for all the wildlife we appreciate so much.”

Permaculture in Schools
Are students ready to inherit the Earth?
Funding from the Gala could enable her to complete a permaculture curriculum for high school students, and help PINA spread it all the way back to the Rocky Mountains. We know this can happen because even with our modest capacities to date, we have helped bring this work to schools in Middle Tennessee and in Houston.
The Eco-Designers Program is the first of its kind to be taught in public High Schools, blending principles of climate science, ecology, regenerative design, sociology, and ethics for environmental sustainability. The Program’s primary tool is permaculture, a design method and philosophy which integrates principles of ecology, design, and ethics. Our interdisciplinary, project-based approach illuminates nature-inspired solutions that can prepare our students for success in an uncertain future. — Monica Ibacache |
