Site #2 The Tudor Residence
Bob & Kat Tudor
This hillside landscape has 20 years of permaculture applied to create a stunning example of how a designed system can grow a standard landscape into a forest garden that serves the people who live there and the birds and wildlife that visit. A hideaway in the midst of the city!
Site #3 Smokebrush Farm
SmokeBrush Farm
At Smokebrush Farm the land is being transformed by a permaculture farmer and biodynamic practices. Some of the oldest lawn in all of Manitou Springs is now an educational demo and high production farm. With animals and touch-the-earth practices, the farm is a must-see location.
Site #4 Flying Pig Farm
Flying Pig Farm
Flying Pig Farm nourishes the community and the land by hosting school and community groups and events, facilitating workshops, supporting community gardens, sharing food, holding seasonal festivals, and advocating for healthy relationships with people and the planet. Students of all ages are invited to programs, classes, workshops, and meals shared at Flying Pig. Come visit and see for yourself!
Site #5 The Long Residence
Bob & Cindy Long
This suburban landscape is a young permaculture forest garden budding forth on what was formerly a bluegrass lawn. Today, four years in, the diversity is abundant and the beauty astounding.
