Permaculture Landscape Designer

Award winning sustainable landscape design/build company looking to hire a landscape designer. We specialize in native, edible and drought tolerant gardens, rainwater/greywater systems, permaculture, water wise gardens and the use of low impact techniques and materials. Must be familiar with California native plants, edibles, fruit trees and other drought tolerant plants. Knowledge of garden installation techniques and basic construction knowledge is highly recommended.

This position could be part time or full time, depending on if applicant wants to help with project implementation: plant selection & spotting, meeting with homeowner & installation crew on site, selecting materials, etc.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Creating base maps of sites.

Meeting with potential clients.

Make suggestions to clients on various garden features.

Scheduling client meetings and check ins.

Assembling plant lists & ordering from nurseries.

Making revisions based on client & team feedback.

Communicating with install team during construction.

Creating clear, detailed designs for demo, hardscape, planting plan and irrigation.

Sketching details of constructed elements.
