Making Biochar at Home
Description: In this workshop, we will complete a full biochar burn using an in-ground trench. Participants will learn:
- What biochar is and how it can be used to build soil health
- How to do a simple, in ground, biochar burn
- Other methods of making biochar
- How to innoculate biochar based on how it will be used
Every participant will go home with a gallon of biochar. We will be working with an active fire, so dress appropriately.
