Introduction to Permaculture Basics

Permaculture can be viewed as the toolbox which holds the tools of sustainable living. Much more than a gardening system, it can help us work with soil, water, nutrient flows, plants, animals, buildings, the sun and our community to design resilant, vibrant, life renewing and positive future. Given the challenges that lie ahead for meeting humanities’ needs, such as Peak Oil, Permaculture represents an important skill set and a new language of pattern literacy. WHAT: This short format course will introduce the foundations of Permaculture, a whole systems design approach for sustainable human settlement. Permaculture (Permanent + Agriculture + Culture)
